Sound in its Own Space
"Sound in its Own Space" focuses on the relationship of sound and space throughout history from Antiquity all the way into the 20thand 21stcenturies and the emergence of digital audio. In addition to exploring key concepts and strategies (spatial projection/perception/diffusion), periodic studio sections and creative projects provide opportunities to actively explore sonic ideas in preparation of a final class project.
The seminars "Musique mixte" and "Sound in its Own Space" are conceived as complementary parts, with "Musique mixte" addressing questions of sound morphology, analysis, generation, and live/generated signal fusion, and "Sound in its Own Space" focusing on sound diffusion, acoustics, and spatialization strategies.
Registration: Registration for the seminar is done via a mailing list.
If necessary, select German as the language in the top right corner of the page, enter your e-mail address and full name under "Subscribe to ak-varese.b" (all registrations without full name details will be ignored!) and assign a password if desired (optional).
Attention: In case of high demand, registrations above the participant limit are automatically noted on the waiting list and will be activated as soon as free places are available. The registration for the seminar is successful as soon as the activation link from the confirmation e-mail has been opened and the registration has been accepted by the list administrator (if the latter does not happen, the registration is on the waiting list).
