Sound and Music Computing

Inhalt: Begleitende Übung für die Seminare "Voice Communication" und "Machine Learning für Audio-Anwendungen". Praktische Anwendung und Implementierung der in den Seminaren gelernten Inhalte.

This course will give an introduction and practical examples for feature extraction and machine learning on audio signals. We will cover the Fourier transform, the spectrogram representation, basic feature implementation and machine learning fundamentals to finally build classification systems based on Deep Neural Networks. The course will require basic knowledge in Digital Signal Processing (gained in EDS) as well as MATLAB. Basic Python / Tensorflow knowledge will be taught.
