Arne Hölter and colleagues presented at the AES Show 2021 extensions of the polygonal audience line curving (PALC) algorithm. The algorithm optimizes the tilt angles of line source array cabinets for large-scale sound reinforcement. The extensions include the implementation of practical features, such as discrete sets of intercabinet angles, gaps in the audience areas and optimization possibilities regarding a desired sound pressure level loss over the distance.
